So I’m reviving my personal site. In the past I was worried about owning the storage of my content so I self hosted this site on wordpress, which is honestly a pain for just wanting to write some stuff every so often. So what was my solution? I migrated the little bit of content I had (out of order, sorry about that) over to tumbler and then enabled a custom domain. As far as search engines are concerned I’m still mattstenson.com and if I ever need to move it’s trivial.
What I realized is:
“Owning the location of my content is not as important as owning the address it is accessed through”
